NE Distance, Inc. is a 501c3 charity incorporated in Rhode Island. Contributions to NE Distance are tax deductible under section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code. NE Distance is a collaboration between members of the Ronald McDonald House of Providence Running Club and NeighborWorks Blackstone Valley.
Our board consists of:
Nich Haber - Nich has been enjoying running since 2001 and has completed 9 marathons including qualifying for Boston. He is a fan of the sport of road racing & track. Prior to NE Distance, Nich had a successful business, SkillCheck, Inc., a global assessment corporation that set the standards for computer and digital literacy skills.
Bob Rothenberg - Bob was the track & field coach at Brown University from 1983 to 2000 and led the women's team to 10 Heptagonal Championships. Bob and his wife Ann are extremely active in civic activities, volunteering for the Ronald McDonald House and as the director for statewide track meets.
Dr. Susan Donahue - Sue is the race director for both the Ronald McDonald House of Providence Women's Classic 5k (which raised over $40,000 for the House in 2011) and the Woonsocket YWCA Race Against Racism. She is Vice President of the Chiropractic Society of Rhode Island and her practice is focused on the needs of athletes.
Dan Flynn is the Head Coach of the Men's & Women's Cross Country and Track program at Regis College in Weston, MA. Dan is also the Director of the Stowe Running Camp in Stowe, Vermont. He was voted 2009 & 2010 "Coach of the Year" of the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC)
Molly Huddle is the current American Record holder in the 5000m and represented the USA in the 2012 London Olympics. Molly lives and trains in Providence, RI.
